We are dedicated to promoting wellness at the end of life, as well as preserving and treating distressing symptoms or conditions that might otherwise threaten the quality of life for our patients and our families. We compassionately provide quality services, sensitive to the values, interests, capabilities and needs of those we serve, in a cost-effective manner and in a variety of settings.
Hospice care is a compassionate approach to health care that addresses the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of terminally ill patients, their caregivers and families when curative measures may no longer be an option. Individualized care is provided by a specialized team of professionals who focus on pain and symptom management, provide support, and maintain a sense of worth and dignity. Hospice strives to enable patients to live each day to the fullest.
Our hospice team consists of experienced physicians, nurses, aides, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers. A fully dedicated team will be appointed to provide compassionate physical, emotional, and spiritual support for the terminally ill patient and his/her family.
Each patient is unique which means they need customized care plans. Together with your doctor and your hospice care team, an individualized care plan will be developed to ensure your loved one is as comfortable as possible.
Each patient will receive regular visits by hospice care nurses, hospice aides, social workers, volunteers, and other members of your care team as needed.
In addition to regular care visits, patients will have access to physical and occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, dietary counseling, and psychosocial and spiritual support.
Golden Coast Hospice offers a therapeutic essential oils program giving patients a safe and natural way to feel calm and relaxed with massage and/or aromatherapy.
Caregivers need support too. We offer short-term inpatient stays or respite care for your loved one so you can get the rest you need.
